Your Community Newspaper
The Express, an independent newspaper, exists to serve as a voice for the community to express themselves to each other.

The Express began in November 1988 at 554 Ward Street in Nelson, British Columbia. The paper began as a monthly magazine entitled What's On. Its objective was to provide information about all the leisure activities and other area activities. In October 1990, the monthly What's On was transformed to the Kootenay Weekly Express.

The Express has always been delivered to every door, providing information, entertainment and opinion that everyone in the community can find of interest.

The Express now is delivered to over 10,000 doorsteps, plus reaches 1,000 tourists and visitors each week.
